On the backend, our software can evaluate the price and popularity of thousands of items, while automating shipping and payments for you.

When a customer wants to sell or consign with you, there are usually 4 steps before completing a transaction:

There are two possible scenarios.
The customer accepts the offer.A confirmation email with a shipping label is automatically sent to the customer. In parallel, you automatically receive an email notification with the customer (name, email, and payment method), the offer (item reference, condition, fair market value estimate, payout option, and quote), and the tracking information.If the item hasn’t been shipped after 3 days, we automatically send a reminder to the customer.
You receive the bag.If the bag is authentic and the condition is correct, you can validate the transaction and confirm the offer price on the admin portal. If the condition isn’t correct and the offer needs to be adjusted accordingly, you will need to manually send the new offer to your customer.In the coming months, Trendful will automate email for offer adjustments.
The required information to pay out the customer with the payment method if its choice has been sent in a notification email. As of now, they can be paid manually. In the coming months, Trendful will automate payment to your customers, so you can focus on growing your inventory, your customer base and your business!
Trendful manages the implementation of the interface onto your website for you.
Depending on the platform hosting your website, Trendful will send you instructions to let us access your website HTML page, where we will integrate our plug-in app.
See below for the estimated timeline:
Week 1 – Integrate the interface onto your website as a theme preview
Week 2 – Customize the interface to meet your specific requirements (i.e. font, colors, wording, pricing strategy, etc.)
Week 3 – Testing phase, you will get to try out the interface and make additional small changes at this time
Week 4 – Instant buyout interface goes live on your site, unless you have requested additional small changes to be made during week 3
*The integration process can take longer depending on your level of customization.
Your business will not be affected during the integration process, you will be able to run your business/online store as normal while we integrate the interface onto your website.
The standard version of our interface includes 43 top designers (find the list here)with a collection of 35K handbag models. Other features of our interface include uploading pictures, choosing amongst different payout options (buyout, consignment and/or credit offers), selecting one payment method, etc.

Businesses often have very complex commission structures that aren’t transparent, Trendful has made a quick analysis to help you find the commission structure that will work for your business needs.
For buyout offers, the commission structure will vary depending on the designer, the model, and the business’ inventory levels. For example, if Louis Vuitton is your best-seller, you may be able to reduce your commission, and give higher offers to your customers. When increasing your offers and marketing it properly, the interface is a powerful tool to expand your customer base and increase your sell-through rate. In addition to instant quotes you can choose to have manual quotes on your customized interface. Your customer will simply be prompted to upload pictures of their bag in order to receive a quote from you.

If a customer cannot find their bag on the Trendful Interface then they can request a manual quote by uploading pictures. Once a customer has requested a quote, you will receive an email from the Trendful team.
In the body of the email you will receive the following basic information:
**Do not reply directly to the email, that is an automatic email service for you to receive updates. Please use the customer’s email we provide you in order for you to reply to their request.**
You can choose from the following shipping carriers: USPS, FedEx, UPS, and Canada Post. If you don’t see your preferred carrier here, contact sales to discuss which carrier you currently use.
You can choose to opt into insurance, to protect the items being sent to you. Insurance fees are 1% of the fair market value (i.e. if the estimated fair market value is $890, you will pay $8.90 in insurance fees). You can turn off insurance at any time.

Trendful has developed smart algorithms to collect, clean, analyze products and evaluate prices. Each week, we collect millions of data points for a collection of 35K handbags and 40 top designers. The data comes from Google Shopping, TheRealReal, Rebag, Fashionphile and other marketplaces. It includes prices, condition, popularity and other metrics we use to refine our algorithms.
For the most popular handbags, we have collected hundreds of prices and condition metrics associated with each price point. Taking into consideration parameters such as trends and the data source reliability, we are able to evaluate the current resell fair market values for many models. Considering that the price of an item depends on the condition, we compute the resell fair market value for each of the four conditions: excellent, great, good, fair.
