Connect Trendful Inventory Management System to your Shopify Store
Connecting Trendful IMS to your Shopify store is now faster and fully automated.
No more custom apps, manual API tokens, or metafield configuration — everything is handled securely by Shopify.
Follow these simple steps to activate the connection.
1. Start the Connection from Trendful
- Log in to your Trendful Admin.
- Go to Settings → Preferences → Inventory.
- Click Activate under the Shopify section.
This will redirect you to Shopify to approve the connection.
2. Approve the Trendful IMS App in Shopify
You will be prompted to log in to your Shopify admin and install the Trendful IMS app.
Review the permissions (required for inventory sync) and click Install.
Once approved, Shopify will automatically:
- grant secure API access to Trendful
- install the Trendful IMS private app instance
- create the necessary webhook subscriptions
- enable real-time inventory, product, and order updates
Nothing else is required on your end.
3. You're Connected!
After installation, you’ll be redirected back to Trendful.
Your Shopify inventory will begin syncing automatically.
Trendful will now:
- sync product & inventory data
- listen for Shopify updates in real time (webhooks)
- keep your IMS and Shopify fully in sync
