Privacy for Sellers
Introduction
Trendful provides software that is used by our clients to help them run their resale businesses. If you have visited or sold a pre-owned product(s) from a client’s Trendful-powered resale business, we collect and use information about you on behalf of that particular client. We only use that information at the discretion of our clients. If you have any questions about how a specific client uses your information, please visit their privacy policy.
What information we collect about you and why
Please note that Trendful will never use your personal information to independently market or advertise to you, unless you are also using one of our products or services, directly.
Personal Information
Information you provide about yourself like your name, shipping address, email address, phone number, and payout information
How we use this information
- To provide clients with our services, and enable them to operate their resale business - e.g. allow them to buy or take your pre-owned products in on consignment, screen offers for inauthentic items and risk, fulfill offers, and contact you about future items you would like to sell
Technical Information
Information about how you access our clients’ website and Resale App, including information about the device and browser you use, your network connection, your IP address, and details about how you browse through our clients’ website and Resale App. We collect some of this information by using “cookies” or other similar technologies directly from your device. How we use this information
- To provide our clients with our services, and enable them to operate their resale business (e.g. to provide them with analytics about how many people visit their Resale App, and help them troubleshoot and improve their Resale App)
When and why we share your information with others
We use service providers to help us provide services to our clients. Outside of these service providers, we will only share your information if we are legally required to do so (for example, if we receive a legally binding court order or subpoena), or where a Trendful client instructs us to share information on their behalf. If you have any questions about how a client shares your personal information, you should visit their privacy policy.
Your rights over your information
When you visit or sell a pre-owned product(s) to a client’s Trendful-powered resale business, the client you’re are selling (consigning) from legally controls your information. As a result, Trendful doesn’t, for example, decide how long your information is retained because that decision is made by the client. This means that Trendful can’t help you access, correct, erase, or port your information without being directed to by the client. To make a request about your personal information, please contact the specific Trendful client directly. If you make a request to us, we will forward your request to the relevant Trendful client and help them fulfill your request. If the Trendful client no longer exists, however, we may be able to assist you directly. We also do not and will not “sell” your sellers’ (customers’) information, as that term is used in California law.
