How does it work when a customer wants to sell/consign with me?

When a customer wants to sell or consign with you, there are usually 4 steps before completing a transaction:

1. Give the customer an offer for their item(s)
2. Send a shipping label to the customer and receive their item(s)
3. Verify the condition and authenticity and if needed readjust the offer
4. Payout the customer

Trendful helps you to seamlessly complete these steps:

1. Give an offer

There are two possible scenarios.

• Instant offer: The customer instantly gets a quote for each payout option (buyout, consignment, and/or store credit). You automatically receive an email notification, while your customer automatically receives an email confirmation.
• Manual offer:
• The customer finds their item and/or uploads pictures through the Resale App and requests a quote for the different payout options (buyout, consignment, and/or credit). Your customer receive an automatic email confirmation. You also automatically receive an email notification with the customer (name and email) and the item (item reference, condition, images, and fair market value estimate if available) information. Then, you can manually compute a quote to offer and send it to the customer through your Trendful Admin account.

2. Sending a shipping label:

If you turn on Self-serve shipping labels (Pro and Enterprise, US and Canada), customers can create their own shipping label from the Resale App once they accept an offer. You can also generate and send shipping labels to your customers directly from your Trendful Admin account.

3. Approve/Adjust the offer:

You have received the item. If the item is authentic and the condition is correct, you can validate the transaction and confirm the offer price on the admin portal. If the condition isn’t correct and the offer needs to be adjusted accordingly, you can adjust the price on your Trendful Admin account and send out a new offer to the customer.

4. Payout the customer

You can pay your customers by bank transfer with Trendful Wallet, or by PayPal and Venmo. Simply set up your payout wallet in Settings → Payout wallet (if you haven’t already) and click on the offer you would like to payout.
